The Drink & Draw Social Club at Meltdown Comics
Last night Tony, Toby and I went up to Meltdown Comics in LA. They were hosting an event called the "Drink & Draw Social Club". It is a group started by comic book artist Dave Johnson and includes other artists such as Dan Panosian, Jeff Johnson, Josh Middleton, and many others. One of the members of the group was tattoo artist Kat Von D who you may know from the show Miami Ink. She was really nice and much taller than I expected her to be.
While we were there I picked up a 2 pieces from Dave Johnson and one from Jeff Johnson. I also got some sweet monkey sketches from the artists that were there.

Drat. I knew I should have gone. Kat is so cool and yes, I know she's really tall. I'm glad to hear she was nice to you too. Otherwise, I'd have to throw down. Why no more pics of the people there? Why didn't the 3 of you get a pic w/ Kat? I thought you guys were going to kidnap her. Give me another couple of weeks and I should be back to healthy and can go fun places with you again. Sorry I missed out.
